Instructions for getting the Matt Brauer Column podcasts

Podcasting allows you to download the MP3 audio files of the Matt Brauer Column automatically and listen to them whenever and wherever you want. To set yourself up to receive podcasts you’ll need a podcast subscription client. Here are some examples:

Each of these will allow you to download podcasts and listen to them on your computer. These are just popular examples. There are others you may prefer. If you want to make your podcasts portable, you’ll need to transfer them from your computer to a portable MP3 player, such as the ever-popular iPod.

If you don't want the hassle of podcasting, and just want to listen to the audio file, simply click on the mp3 tag to the left of the article title on the main article page or the archive page.

Detailed instructions for each example

If you're using iTunes, subscribing is as simple as: launch iTunes, go to the iTunes store, search for Matt Brauer, and subscribe.

With Juice: go to Tools > Add a Feed...; in the popup box, enter the URL (without the quotes) "http://www.mattbrauer.com/rss.xml" and click Save.

For Winamp: open the media library; in the left pane, select Podcast Directory > Subscriptions (if Subscriptions does not show under Podcast Directory, you may have to click the triangle next to Podcast Directory); under the Channel pane, click on the Add button, and enter the URL (without the quotes) "http://www.mattbrauer.com/rss.xml" in the Add RSS Subscription popup box, then click Add. Once subscribed, click on Matt Brauer in the Channel pane, and the articles with audio will be displayed in the right window.
